The Things Dad Loves More than His Children

Dad decided in the wake of this economic crisis to "accidentally" buy another car on Ebay. This one at least looks a tad bit better than the Porsche. It is a 1956 MG Magnette and it's gorgeous. For the past 18 years we have had two of these puppies (mind you they don't look anything like this one) parked in the backyard with him saying he is going to fix them up "someday". Logan even got so far as to take out an engine but that's as far as it got. So now that he has one all done you would think it's time to get rid of the two junkers out back, but oh no...now he needs those for parts. Our backyard is slowly turning into a junkyard with all the cars (Datsun, Porsche, 2 MG's) plus the Bultaco's (too many to count as Dadio keeps sneaking more in when we're gone) and I'm sure our neighbors are thrilled with another car in our driveway (That's 5 cars for 4 people). We used to joke (deep down we know it is absolutely true) that Dad loved his Bultaco Metralla more than us kids, but now he has two "children" that we can never measure up to. Anyone want a ride come on over, he loves to show it off.
